Gurnee, IL (April 22, 2026) – A serious three-vehicle crash sent seven people to the hospital on Tuesday, April 21, at the intersection of Route 41 and Ferndale Street in Gurnee. Emergency units responded to the scene after a 911 caller reported that CPR may have been in progress on one of the victims.

Responders arriving at the scene found at least one vehicle rolled over. Given the severity of the accident, authorities called for additional medical resources, ultimately requesting a total of seven ambulances to handle the injured.

All seven people involved were taken to nearby hospitals. The severity of their injuries has not been confirmed at this time.

By 8:15 p.m., all lanes of Route 41 had been reopened. The vehicles involved were towed from the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
