Waukegan, IL (June 9, 2026) – A father and his young son were hospitalized on Saturday evening, June 6, after an intoxicated, unlicensed driver veered into oncoming traffic and caused a head-on collision that overturned the victims' truck.

Waukegan Police and Fire departments responded to the intersection of Jackson Street and Woodlawn Avenue around 9:00 p.m. following reports of a crash with occupant entrapment.
