Libertyville, IL – Three Critically Injured After Rollover Crash at Rte 45 & Winchester Rd

Libertyville, IL (November 25, 2025) – Three people were hospitalized in critical condition after a serious two-vehicle crash that caused one car to overturn at the intersection of Route 45 and Winchester Road on Monday, November 24.

The collision was reported around 10:20 a.m. when Libertyville police and firefighters arrived to find a heavily damaged sedan in the intersection and a Kia SUV rolled onto its side near the northeast corner of the roadway. The SUV had come to rest partially off the road following the impact.

Libertyville Fire Officials confirmed that three ambulances were requested due to the severity of the crash. The sedan’s driver was the only occupant of that vehicle. The SUV carried a man and a woman. The male passenger was trapped inside and required extrication by fire crews before he could be transported.

All three victims were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition due to the mechanism of injury. Officials have not released details on what may have caused the crash, as the investigation remains ongoing.
