Gurnee, IL - Two-Vehicle Crash With Entrapment on Rte 41

Gurnee, IL (November 18, 2025) – Emergency crews responded early on Tuesday, November 18, to a serious two-vehicle crash on northbound Route 41 just north of Grand Avenue in Gurnee. Firefighters and police found significant damage to both vehicles, including one with a person trapped inside. 

The crash was reported shortly before 6:00 a.m., prompting the Gurnee Fire Department and Gurnee Police Department to quickly arrive on the scene. Officials said Battalion 13 requested three ambulances due to multiple injured individuals requiring medical attention. Fire crews immediately began extrication operations to free a trapped victim from one of the vehicles.

The number of people involved and the extent of the injuries have not yet been released, and the investigation remains active.
